Dead Can Dance - Orbis De IgnisJust testing out a couple of things. Digital painting really isn't my cup of tea, when will I learn that.

You say it's not your thing but this is impressive! Do you like the process? I kinda like my final results with digital but I find it awkward to do. I've only used photoshop, think I should give SAI a go, or Krita as someone below suggested. Anyways, keep up the great work

I don't know if anyone has recommended this yet, but Krita is an awesome, free program that makes it super-easy to get into digital painting (if you ever feel like exploring it more....). If you know general art-program controls (SAI, Photoshop), then it's incredibly easy to pick up and has a ton of cool features and painterly brushes (though I should mention the Mac version is still in development and isn't good at all IMHO). I've fallen in love with it and haven't touched Photoshop in years ahaha.
This is absolutely gorgeous, by the way. I love how the lighting is dramatic and yet somehow very soft. I don't know how to explain it, but there's something really soul-piercingly wonderful about it. It's the sort of beautiful you find yourself stumbling for words trying to explain it with but fail, something abstract and just out of reach.

My, this sort of lighting really speaks to my heart. Looks like a long forgotten painting of an old master, recently discovered and immidiately considered the best in the artist's heritage.
