Hah, my handwriting is stupidly small, to be honest. It looks silly when addressing letters and such.

Äääppffhh just careful planning before starting, I guess? I've drawn this pose a dozen times before and I pretty much have it memorized, if I was experimenting with something that contorts the character's body more the outcome would have looked a lot messier. Not to mention that I chose a black character for the sole purpose of being able to hide all the sketchy lines and mistakes under the solid color or the fur.
I have a habit of inking stuff freehand without sketching first anyway, many of my recent submissions were done the same way.
