Diyarbakir, Diyarbakir Province, Southeastern Anatolia, turkey - XIII c. stone decoration in the southern section of the city walls. New dynasty of Artuqids; that ruled over Diyarbakir after expelling Inalids ruler by Saladin, ordered the repair of the southern section of the city walls, expanded citadel and added two defense towers to city's fortifications. The craftmanship from that period is much finer and distinguished by carved stone decorations.Related content
