I cant believe you took something this detailed with an EXA 1b which is such a small camera. Is it also part of the good ilford film? This camera uses 35mm? Im loving your gallery really great work!

yes, with my little Exa, which is my prefered camera for travelling now, because it is almost unbreakable.
however I need to admit originally this is not a black and white shot but a colour one on one of the cheapest films bought in Rossman - but sometimes I am just keen on this retro-style and old camera can produce in work with a cheap film - anyhow here I decided to turn into bw for pointing out the meaning and not confusing the viewer - anyhow the sharpness is original even with this crappy light and no use of lightmetre (yes, I always messure blind :> after feeling)

Thanks for those kind words.

Well its a very fine grain for a color, low light, cheap film! You calibrate the speed manually? Does the Exa 1b have an exposure meter or was it only in manual mode? Anyways I agree, when manually setting the light you get the atmosphere that you want, the one that you feel, I like how the houses glow here and the grain looks finer in the houses then in the sky where it is quite thick. I like the soul and atmosphere in your photography

Inside this camera has no light metre at all, I had some manual extra but it doesn't work any more ... so I choose either speed and f-number only after feeling and experience. And I need to admit I didnt have any completely wrong lightened shot for longer time.
Yes, right - you get the atmosphere you want ... or you easily burn the film or leave it in darkness.

lol that is so true! the distance between getting the atmosphere and light you want and over or underexposing the picture is so small! Thats why I think its a great job!

nah .... but one of the professional photographers in my town told me to start a little book for righting down the time, location and the f-number and speed I used for increasing my experience ...
but honestly - I am just too much adventurous and a little too proud for this.
