I haven't done a Kaiju-type monster for a while, so I decided to draw a sort of..anthro Goblin Shark/Kaiju for fun?I really wanted to play around with a darker black/red palette since I like doing those so much, and I think he turned out pretty dang nice 8)

Hell Shark: This goblin shark hybrid is all kinds of dark, and he's only too glad to show off his skills! From the bottom of the ocean he honed his abilities and beefed his muscles up in preparation to invade the surface world, and now his time has finally come. Cool. I understand why you add what the tongue looks like, but that doesn't mean it's not an interesting detail.

It's mostly because I was commissioned to do a pic like..years ago, and the guy flipped his shit when I didn't color the tongue neon blue even though he had never stated that the tongue on the character was blue, nor was it on the ref so there was no way I could have known.
And from that day on, I obsessively put tongues/mouth refs on adopt references because I'm still salty over that asshole. Cautionary tale :v

Mm, completely understand now. Luckily my paranoia has kept me safe from ever running into that situation myself, by making me ask for every single detail I can when I'm drawing something for someone.
