Rodrick and Barton examine the object in awe, memories of Mt. Tinder legend echoing in their mind. Their grandmother once told them of a gorgi who braved the mountain during its most violent eruption, enchanting her own heart to become a talisman of peace. This gorgi would become the guardian of the mountain, making it safe for the symbollic expedition that generations would since take.

They were never sure if that's really how it went, but looking at the amber stone, they felt a sense of awe and nostalgia for their grandparents.
