hmm... an idea that comes to mind is that Ed comes back to visit and then just like chills around at Winry's as usual, and then some regular home accident happens like a fork falls on the floor or whatever, and they both go down to get it and their lips touch. they both think that its super weird and that they're like siblings so it was totally messed up, then while saying that, they just think "screw it" and start making out, never actually admitting that they like each other until after that haha.
