Ukiyo-e, pictures of the floating world, remakes. Version 2.0An onna-bugeisha was a type of female warrior belonging to the Japanese upper class. Many wives, widows, daughters, and rebels answered the call of duty by engaging in battle, commonly alongside samurai men.
The artwork was cut from the original background and new images (elements) were added to make it unique.
