Agreed, I like some animes (Akira, Metropolis, Summer Wars, Grave of the Fireflies, Nausicaa and Mononoke Hime are some of my favorite movies of all time) but in my opinion, most animes are overrated and overused.

This isn't meant to be offensive:

They're fucking cartoons. There's nothing to admire about them- the story lines are cliche, the animations are terrible, and they have no substance. Why would you waste your life worshiping these disgusting ninjas or demons when there's so much else to do besides crying over a FICTIONAL character dying. You're a great friend, and I really don't want to fight, but it's comments like these that show you need to grow up. If there is any 'life lessons' they're all weak bullshit. Nothing substantial can be learned from cartoons. Do you see anybody bragging about how an American cartoon taught them to be a person? The only side of you that's been influenced by it is the side that lots of people have to let go before they learn it the hard way.
I love bones, but I don't pretend I'm a skeleton or that I'm a coyote, so how does your argument make sense. Believe it or not, there ARE good people who don't like anime, and you should get out of that 'I'm an anime kid and only that' bubble you're in. Have you ever tried to do something BESIDES anime art, what do you think people will appreciate more: an original piece in your own style, or a piece in a limited style that some other person invented.

I know I have former experiences, and that's exactly why I decided to quit. Only somebody with no taste or originality would spend hundreds of dollars to dress up and act Japanese with a bunch of other weaboos for a day.

I found what you just said very offensive and you know what I can and do draw and paint diferent types of art
I do admire them, I dont find the animation terrible atually i find most quite stunning and i yes they do have some cliche parts but overall most are original (I know there are exceptions to this but i still like it) Also I do not 'worship' these caracters that is similar to me saying you worship marilin manson or somthing else you like or admire.
And realy maybe you should relize that im not going to get rid of this in my life im not just going to drop my personality because i get older and I do know people who love and owe things to american cartons.
I wasnt saying that people who dont like anime are bad people but those who downright insult it are those who i dont like. I have plenty of friends who dont like it which is a reason i place my friends above anime along with the fact that i know its not real. Im not going to dislike you just because you dont like it i was just stating my opinions. Also im am and anime kid and even tho i dont whish to be labled, it is what my life revolves around It is the reason i have goals and the reason i have so many good friends including you whather you want to admit it or not if we both did not like anime i would have never met you. Then how come all I see or hear from you is anime. The animation is sliding key-frames, they just trick the eyes, it's all very amateur. Even I could do it with the right programs. All of them are far fetched and most likely the product of an acid trip. No, you WORSHIP them. I don't believe I am Marilyn Manson, or anybody else but myself.

It is not a cult and I do not worship them how in any way is praising them the same as worship! This is like how that kid was calling you a satin worshiper when your not your doing the same thing right now I dont pray or bow down to the caracters or let it dicide my life for me so saying false acusations
yaknow if you hated it so much why where you praising i last time we hung out and i was looking at YOUR manga collection. And yes while anime uses a simple animation process that dosnt mean it is at all easy to do. I know an amiture can use a somewhat similar system to make a simple animation but there is so much more than that that gose into the making of an anime first of you have to be a very skilled artist to draw manga and anime and tere are amazing voice actors who can completely move an audience through the emotion in their voice. and Its much more detailed than you may think
And I happen to know that life is hard and unfair but i have my hobbys like anime that make me happy through the hard times.
I may not lern alot from anime but i can learn way more than what you can from a bone you found on the road
And i recall not bringing up anime to you your entire party except when i was asking you about your manga because i was thinking about starting the series then you praised it saying you realy liked the artwork and story in it so you where realy completely contridicting yourself
and while you act all high and mighty calling me ignorant you may want to check yourself cause your the one who seems ignorant and two-faced to me

No, I don't let religion control my life as you let anime do. It wasn't praising it, I never denied that there were SOME series I respected. I'm trying to get rid of it and you know that, considering I offered it to you. It is easy, You move to the side, up and down, with no talent. There are so many things that require voice acting besides that, and most of it is higher and better quality than that.

I dont let it controll my life its just the most prominant thing that i like i dont let it make dicitions for me or tell me what im going to do with my day. If you think i watch anime so it can tell me how to live your wrong i dicide to watch anime because i like to watch it.

And honestly yea you learn certain lessions as you grow up but thee are manny values and themes which are tought through anime just like in the books that most kids read growng up or just like in the clssic movies that everyone grew up with
Also I sat trying to brush out your wig because It was a disaster and thats how long it took me to get it decent. The only reason I was doing it at your house was because i happened to start it and i wanted to finish things before i went and did somthing else

If you were here in person, that would have gotten you punched the fuck out. That's is somebodies beliefs, and it's more important than anime, it's been that way even when I liked it. It's been that way for most people that have their fucking priorities straight. I respect one or two series, but they are unoriginal and completely terrible animations, ect.
