I really like the atmosphere to this one! Β I can't quite put my finger on what is causing this nice effect, but I think it lies somewhere in between the fine textures and the amber color.Β As a coastal New Englander this piece has a certain familiar quality to it as well.

Thanks! It's very inspired by the New England coastline. It's based on a sketch I did somewheres near New Haven, Conn.
We stayed at a friends place somewhere back around the early 2000s who lived in Marion.
It's also greatly inspired by H.P. Lovecraft who was also inspired by New England and missed the place big time while he lived in Brooklyn.
