Nice. I'd love to come to Red Hook and see the things that inspired Lovecraft's work. It looks here like he had plenty to feed or perhaps I should say feed on his imagination.

I think its more the people who lived there at the time he lived in Brooklyn than anything else that inspired him.
Though I'm sure he had to be somewhat inspired by some of the decrepitude.
Red Hook is definitely worth the visit, though.

It's a shame Lovecraft had such fear of certain kinds of people but I'm not so sure he would have been as good a story teller without it.

Man, those tentacles look awesome. Just a suggestion, however; if you put in a little extra, maybe some shaking of the camera or some filters, it'd add a little oomph to the picture. Just saying.
