I like the way nature prevails when we abandon our creations

I updated it with a new link to a video about the neighborhood and Admiral's Row.
Scott, the "curator" of BOMB (Brooklyn's Other Museum of Brooklyn) is a friend of ours. He lives just around the corner.
Admiral's Row is within walking distance of us.

Very welcome my friend...you know I've gone in probably 1/4 of the buildings I've shot and it's always the same...broken glass...broken furniture...trash and loads of dust and cobwebs...I've never found anything really cool...

I've been a couple when I was a kid, (around 40 years ago)
but never took photos. I wasn't much into photography then.
(and I'm just and amateur now.)

Ran into to a friend today who's a huge proponent of the preservation of Admiral's row.
He gave us the link to a recent video about his love for Brooklyn history and Admiral's Row….

Very nicely done. I like the blur on the outside edges, nice effect.

Thanks! I love playing with blur, either for atmosphere, or the tilt/shift effect to make things look miniature.

Thanks. That building is nearly gone now.
It's one of the ones that can't be saved.

It really is! It looks like at least to of the houses will be preserved. The rest are coming down eventually.

Thanks! It's gonna be hard to get more photos now that the trees and other greenage is starting to sprout.
Gonna have to wait til Fall to get more. (I still have bunch more from the day I shot these to play around with)
