Shot out my window in Clinton Hill Brooklyn looking towards lower Manhattan.
If the World Trade Center was still standing, they'd show up nearly lined up with those tow smoke stacks.

i remember the first NYC blackout, my Mom stuck in a LI railway car, a sister stuck in an elevator at her work and my Dad trying to drive in from the island, only to find the tunnells filled with gas - and i thought it could not be worse than that.....was i wrong!

Photo is untouched except for cropping.
And I cloned out three or four lights down in the bottome because they looked like dust spots on the photo.
It was still a little too early for enough lights to be on to make it look like city lights at night.
