Not a good day to take photos from atop the Empire State Building.I always crack up seeing the flashes of people's cameras going off up there at night.
Do they think their flash is powerful enough to cover an entire city?
Or even to the street?
Twas no different in broad daylight with the observation deck enshrouded by clouds.
"Honey, my photos came out all white"
Will they never learn?

I think this is great, with the tower dissapearing up into the clouds, gives it an air of mystery...

This is a pretty cool shot..And yeah, there are some cameras that, if you keep them on auto settings, the flash will go off no matter what you try..Teaches them for using auto lol..

There were a couple times where the fog was so thick,
you couldn't even see as much as you ccan see here!

Would a bolt of lightning even light up the city?
I have worked out that useing my flash when taking the sakte photos that I've taken on a fairly dull-ish has helped to stop my photos coming out out-of-focus

I'm sure has something to with the auto-focus and exposure.
When I shoot sunsets out my window, I'll do some with and some without.
There is a difference.

great pic. great angle. love the layer of fog at top eating the building. so you can actually see all the flashes from cameras up that high. thats alot of tourists.

Maby there just middle age and dont know how to work the cammer they know how to push on. . . and how to push the take picture button. . .but then again, people are really stupid. . .lol, you know, when I think about it, its just funnyer to think there stupid. ..lol great story. . .I think you might be able to get some cool pictures off the top of the empire state building at night. . .you would just need a tripod. . .

It's just that they're tourists and not photogrpahers.
But even I know that a standard flash wont cary more than, what, 20 or 30 feet max?
It's still fun to watch the top of the Empire State Building going off like a Christmas tree.
