XD Maybe he cleaned it and kept the shell. I probably would have done that at his age.

You shouldn't have thrown it away, you should have flushed it down the toilet. Like a fish.

I feel bad for that turtle now.

CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD In reply to UMAD654 [2012-05-19 10:06:47 +0000 UTC]

I honestly think kids shouldn't be allowed to keep their own animals until they prove they are responcible enough.

Then again, I feel the same about parents.

I feel the same way, and yes, some parents arn't that responsible either.

Poor little turtle...

Reminds me of the time when I was little how my cousin founded a dead baby duckling near my aunt's garbage.

Yeaaah, for me there's something fundamentally creepy about holding and playing with recently deceased things.
(That being said, I'd pick a dead turtle over those horribly glassy eyed plushy doll things)

Which glassy eyes plushes are you thinking about?

Most normal soft toys are ok, but toys like Barbie Dolls give me a bad feeling.

CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD In reply to Skaramine [2012-05-18 03:47:04 +0000 UTC]

Something I will never understand about East Asian cultures is the way they view animals as wind-up toys rather than living things.

I'll do a comic on that eventually.

Skaramine In reply to CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD [2012-05-18 20:35:26 +0000 UTC]

A lot of kids do that. It's why a lot of American kids get bit HARD by big dogs.

Oh no, the poor little turtle O_O Was it dead from the beginning? Where did they get it from?

I love the smile on the shirt of the boy *laugh*

CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD In reply to Eninaj27 [2012-05-17 18:19:50 +0000 UTC]

yes, it was dead before they walked in.

Mae-Si said he got it from a friend.

Poor thing. We did the same with poor water snails as children.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD In reply to Eninaj27 [2012-05-18 10:52:33 +0000 UTC]

Oh really? Gave them to friends when they had babies?
I knew several kids who would to that with hamsters when I was little.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eninaj27 In reply to CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD [2012-05-18 11:23:52 +0000 UTC]

No, a boy caught them out of a lake and gave them to his friends as a gift. Poor snails died in the little water jar. I think because the hadn't something to eat or so. Kids can be so cruel without knowing it.

Oh baby hamster are so cute, I had some too. It was really fun to see them grow up. But we had to sell them too.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD In reply to Eninaj27 [2012-05-18 16:17:49 +0000 UTC]

Kids don't mean to be cruel, but that's the problem with ignorance, I guess.

My hamsters kept trying to kill each other. I gave them away retty fast XD

Eninaj27 In reply to CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD [2012-05-18 19:48:09 +0000 UTC]

Yupp, hamsters are only kind to each other as kids. They need to be alone as adults.

CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD In reply to Eninaj27 [2012-05-19 10:19:17 +0000 UTC]

So they aren't like guinea pigs then.
I love guinea pigs. Have you ever had one?
They're like little fat lumps of nonstop eating that demand to be held and petted. And when you hold them, they sing happy little piggy songs. So cute.

Eninaj27 In reply to CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD [2012-05-19 11:31:20 +0000 UTC]

Yes, my sister had a guinea pig, but that monster only like her, it was very nasty to all other guys who wanted to touch it, haha. I had a little rabbit in the past, it was a very nice and calm animal.

CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD In reply to Eninaj27 [2012-05-20 12:19:37 +0000 UTC]

A monster!? Wow, I'm sorry. My piggy was very sweet to everyone. She liked my dad the best since he had a robe with giant pockets that she could hide inside.

I had a rabbit once, too. He was a little angel. What kind of rabbit did you have?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Eninaj27 In reply to CAPTAIN-CAPSLOCK-PHD [2012-05-20 12:35:10 +0000 UTC]

Awww, cute Yupp, guinea pig love such hiding places like pockets. That's so sweet.

It was a pigmy rabbit, an albino with white fur and red eyes. I had a lots of animals, mice, gerbils, budgies a.s.o. in the past. At the moment I have my tom cat, but he lives at my parent's house.

I had almost the same thing happening with a class mate that'd picked up a dead bird that had flown against a window before. They played with it the whole lesson. Except I couldn't help but laugh a little while I was grossed out. Fff, you know, 12 years old. And in a boarding school.

Btw, what do the students say in the first panels?
