Description Yeah, I know - TERRIBLE title... but I thought it was funny anyways!

This is my first ever coloured in picture of Mello, and the first of Near that I've actually put any effort into... and it looks okay! And if you download at the original size, it SHOULD be possible to use as wallpaper if anyone's interested!

The original pencil sketch of this piece is here: [link]

The lovely has now made this piece into an interactive Flash animation! Heeere it is--> [link]

Near's facial expression was probably inspired by the way I felt when I did the original drawing - I was in work and I was soooooooooooooooooooooo bored!

You like the background? Memo to self: arsing about with random PS brush tools = good...

LOL!!! Yes, the background looks cool!! Heehee I love it when your own feelings affect your drawings...only if they produce the desired effect, of course

Yeah, it looks great!!!!

Thank yoooou! ^__^
Originally I was going to have Near looking straight out of the picture like Mello is, but it just looked like he was putting in too much effort! I mean, he's already had to stand up, for crying out loud - I can't expect him to look ENTHUSTIASTIC as well! Tch!

0.0 Much love for this <3 I'm not a fan for thick linearts though, but I can't say I don't like this XD It must've took you half a day to finish it....

Ah... My nickname at uni was 'Blackline' because when I ink stuff in, it ALWAYS ends up with thick black lines! It's just sort of a habit, I guess - plus it makes it easier for me to colour stuff on Photoshop that way... the way I handle that program is so... childlike, I guess! So thanks for saying you like my colouring style! And thanks for the too!

Cool!!! XD 'Blackline'~~ Yeah, I agree. Even though thin lines is yeah well, pretty but it's a pain in the everywhere to colour it. D:

You're welcome <3

Lol at the title - I didn't even spot that on the b/w one as I was so breathtaken by the picture itself.

Do you know what I'd love though - flashing this. The lines are so clean that it would be very easy to vector it in flash and you could make them blink and stuff. Would it be alright if I had a go? I wouldn't even post it or anything if you didn't want that. (it's ok to say too if you rather I didn't - I promise I won't take offence)

Love the shading on Mello's fur collar - just spotted that now!

The b/w one is under a different title - that'll be why you didn't spot it!

I would LOVE it if you flashed this! (LOL... flashing! ) Hell, you can flash anything of mine if you want to! If you need it in a different format or anything just let me know and I'll email it to you!

...I'm seriously amazed at how enthusiatic you are about this! Thank you so so SO much for the lovely comments!

Coolness! I'll obviously credit and link you and your pic and everything according to the proper procedure!
Yeah, I saw the title after. I realise that I very rarely read the titles, if the picture is interesting enough, the thumbnail captures all my attention!
I think the format will be fine, it's the black lines I need!
I'm amazed YOU'RE amazed - can you not the brilliance stamped all over those faces?

Well, I was pretty proud of it, but... you know. I'm always taken aback whenever anyone says anything nice about my stuff - me and my insecurities!

I eagerly await the flashiness! Try not to get too frustrated with it this time, okays?

I doubt I'd be ashamed of you - I'd probably just be in awe of your mad PS skillz... I've only just got the hang of shading half-decently... I was looking at some of my uni stuff t'other day and thought 'OMG - most of this is crap... How the HELL did I graduate?' There's a large part of me that wishes I'd specialised in acrylics...
