Please note that this is just how I draw L's hair - I didn't use any reference or anything so... it's a very rough guide!
I'm really not all that hot at profiles...

You draw L's hair a HECK of a lot different than me... I draw his hair...
uh... Poofy, i guess...fluffy... the kind you see and, totally ignoring the fact it looks all messy, you instinctively want to run your hands through, no matter what the owner of said hair thinks. Fluffy and detailed, a whole bunch of different strands, a.k.a. a pain in the butt, while you do it a wee bit more comical and easy-looking.
(i spent DAYS doing his hair one time....half the time ....sigh)
I love the little faces and stuff of...you?....as you drew it...I used to do stuff like that on mine, (especially when i was drawing late at night when I cant get to sleep...sigh)

...dude, i can chatter ON... i can take something as little as this how 2 draw thingeh and make a long comment out of it, though I don't really read half the things i type.

Yeah, I do draw L's hair in a kind of easy, simple way I guess. I go nuts if I try and draw hair properly, so I tend to draw it in pieces like this. When I'm colouring stuff in properly though, I do like spending aaaaages on hair - I practically colour it strand by strand in various shades. I think it looks better that way... I fuss especially over lighter hair colours and curly styles... an OC of mine has long, curly blonde hair, so it takes me hours to draw her! Which is why there are no pics of her in my gallery... 
Yes, those are little pictures of me! I draw myself and other characters passing comment on my work a lot... Quite often it'll be whichever character I'm trying to draw telling me off for not doing it right...

I go crazy when the hair doesn't look perfect... like, when i draw late at night because i can't sleep, i stay WAAAY later working on comics because the guy's hair looks stupid... but it just gets worse because the later it gets, the worse it is, and so eventually i make a little note under it like, "WTF hair." so i hope that the person just laughs at the note...

I always talk like that, and so i get some weird stares, usually by people going "WTF is she saying?!" at me... and the rest of the time i'm singing japanese or just creepy songs, talking about anime or a book i read, or drawing... all my friends are either weird enough to put up with me, or anime freaks like me.

And yes, I did like the way you described L's hair, mainly because I come out with stuff like that sometimes too, and I get weird looks as well...
