Here is another changing portrait I created for myself of the Headless Horseman. The original painting is "Napoleon at St. Bernard" by Jacques Louis-David. The Horseman painting was done by Sassydeb [link] . The frame comes from inspyretash-stock [link]*Note: The downloadable file is quite larger than shown here. DeviantArt doesn't allow .gifs larger than 150 x 150.

Sure. The Headless Horseman is everyone's right to enjoy. I made the avatar from a picture from Disney's Sleepy Hollow cartoon using Gimp. It's just a small image of 50 x 50 pixels.

that is absolutely cool beyond words mate! the headless Hessian is one of my all time faves ghost stories. it's a nice play-in with Napoleon crossing the Alps.

Did you know that in the early development times of the Haunted Mansion, it was planned to be a Ichabod Crane & Headless Horseman ride? That would have been cool!

Do you mean "how do you do it?" I made both pictures as separate images, then made an animated .gif file out of them and used a blending plug in to meld them together.

This one's cool, reminds me of those "painting" at Disney's haunted mansion, I've always liked that kind of effect.

Then for story purposes, the now-deceased Icabod Crane would've had to have moved to the Mansion to, since the headless Hessian was chasing him in the classic Irving story.

He was supposed to be part of it, as the Haunted Mansion was to be a Sleepy Hollow ride. But, that was quickly abandoned as Walt had other ideas for the creepy ride.
