Something I've noticed when it comes to fan redesigns is that the artist/creator will use them in one, maybe two, images and never again. I think to show the full potential of a redesign, you have to use it in a variety of scenarios. Previously, I had used my WW design to have her helping out a newbie hero. The goal there was to simply establish what I think is THE definitive design, so now it's time show how well the design works. Which leads me to this point, does this pose look familiar?

It should, because this was WW's pose at the end of George Perez's first issue. I wanted my design to fit seamlessly into the comics, and I think it has perfectly. Do you think this design would work as her official outfit in the comics? I'm curious to see if you agree.

If you want some insight into the design, click the link to the image up top. But to put it simply, I think this captures the perfect balance between superhero and amazon, while most designs lean one way or another. Here, the skirt is the classic American flag inspired one (superhero). An armored top (amazon). Scarf. (amazon). Stirrups (superhero). Etc.

When I read a WW comic, I want to read a superhero comic, but also experience the Greek mythology her character would entail. I just described the Perez run in a nutshell. Is it any wonder why I chose the pose I did for this image?

Anyway, this design also brings some quality of life improvements to the official looks. The tan skin makes sense because she would've spent a lot of time in the sun on Paradise Island. The blue nails is a good way to use blue a bit more without taking away from the primarily red outfit. Plus I think they add another sense of femininity, which is important for the character. The stirrups represent a subtle way of showing people WW's strength and where she came from. She has super strength and grew up barefoot/sandal-clad, so why would she need boots? Can you tell that I hate those god awful boots?

Hopefully I've laid out my thoughts on the matter clearly. If anyone has questions, please feel free to ask. I do plan on throwing this design in other poses/scenes from the comics, so stay tuned for that.
