The NASA JPL/U.S. Space Force Triple Ion Engine Space Fighter, commonly known as the "TIE Fighter" is a starfighter developed for the U.S. Space Force Fleet Division as a joint-cooperation between NASA JPL, The U.S. Space Force, and U.N.I.S.O.N. After a surprise attack on the U.N.I.S.O.N Warp Gate above Mars, the leading members of U.N.I.S.O.N requested that the U.S. Space Force and NASA study the feasibility of building expendable starfighters using readily available technologies that would be readily available at starbases in the event of an attack. Drawing from experience used in building the "Dawn" spacecraft, "Orion" spacecraft, and International Space Station, NASA JPL produced the TIE Fighter in large numbers and would be used in a variety of roles by the U.S. Space Force.
