Volstagg has a soft spot for kids... even Loki.This was completed as a sketch in my sketchbook then edited severely with my trusty mouse pad and photoshop!
I swear my next comic and drawing will be less lame.

I love this comic! Next adventure, Thor and Loki climb 'cookie mountain', where the evil Frigga troll
yells at them for wasting cookies! They escape narrowly by sliding down into 'Goat milk lake', where they encounter the 'milk lake monster'! How long before the other gods get jealous? Loki definitely needs
an Iron Man, to go with his Thor, or the Warriors 3.

This is just adorable. I really can see, from the comics, that Volstagg's being like: "Hmm. I don't like Loki, but I do like kids. So, in order to treat him nicely and not upset Thor, I will just act like he's any other kid. Other kids like toys, right?"
Even though Loki is not just any other kid, he clearly appreciates the effort.

I really enjoyed when Volstagg defended Loki from Odin when they all got Thor to escape. Made me really happy to know that the writers haven't forgotten Volstagg's kids. I hope we get to see more of this relationship... at least every once and a while.

Part of me wants to see Loki having to hang out with Volstagg's kids. It's not going to happen in the comics, but it'd be hilarious, since Loki's far from a normal kid. Of course, he might just turn the vegtables into candy when Volstagg's wife's not looking. Volstagg and the kids wouldn't mind, though.
