I wanted to draw a maned wolf, but it kinda turned out looking like a fox.Anyway, i had a minor disagreement with my 'terra cotta' pencil and i bit its tip off... I am vicious. It had a little deposite of something hard in the lead and it just scratched the paper instead of coloring (understand what i mean?)
I tried some musculature and a different more epic, if you will, paw style. It looks like a very powerfil animal that way.
For some reason i color better now. O.o
I was thinking of putting some kind of BG but i couln'd think of what to put and i didn't want to taint a perfectly good drawing if i screwed up.
So, tell me what you think. ^_~

well...maned wolves are sorta more orange than red but it still looks AMAZINGLY AWESOME

haha you and your pencil fought! lol i had a tiff with my terra cotta prizma when i was colouring in a wall of bricks! this is very nice, and what is a micron pen?

To make it look less like a fox, shorten the tail and add in the bib under the chin. Their tails also usually have more white than russet

the head is a tad small for the rest of the body since it is really large compared to the head, but it is still a great drawing. the pose is really creative and the colors blend so well together. i think it still looks like a maned wolf. but then again, maned wolves are called foxes on stilts, so they do somewhat resemble each other in real life too. or at least, they look somewhat like foxes. nice work though.

Hey, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind me using this for reference for a character design for my friend? It's a real muscled wolf, and my net is too slow for me to have the patience to find a muscle anatomy diagram. I'd give you mention in the description and all ^^

yeah they are more orange than red, but i found a pic on google of a really nice really red one and i wanted to color it that way. They are not usually as dark as mine though. ^^'

Hey, I have to say though, the red worked out better than the orange I think. Not to mention it'd make a great anatomy refrence when someone needs it.

He could almost be a new breed, Morwen! Part fox, part wolf. His paws look wolfish, but the face is foxish. I kinda like it. *nod*

Dispite the Fox-ish look like bit of it, this is really well done a I love the coloring! Pose is magnifisent and body is lovely.
Someting about the face and the font leg touching the ground seem a little off to me, but beautiful job. I envy your coloring skills!

hehe i did that to day, i was trying to make a hawk but i messed up so i took my mistake and made it into a new bird, i'll see if i can get it up tomorrow
