YOSHI'S ISLAND IS BEST GAMEI tried my best to fix the scan, but the colours really don't do this one justice, here. It's much nicer in real life. Also, too many stars. But I like it. It was ambitious, and set the standard for the rest of the month... eventually.

I really, really like that "galactic, cosmic" shading that Raphael has. I love his shading in general, but that is something I wanted to point out.

Very nice! One of my favourite Mario universe species! <3 So cute and wise. I love how you've rendered him here. c: Especially how you coloured his underbelly. It looks very celestial and suits the style of Yoshi's Island very nicely!

What did you use to draw this? I love the colors, but I especially love the blue/green/purple reflected light underneath Raphael's body against the black.

Thanks! I used a combination of Copic and Prismacolour markers. The part you're talking about started off as a gradient of blues and purples, and then brown on top of the darkest blues to make it look black.
