Seems that way but STILL the problems between them started when Nygma framed Jim for murder & was sent to prison then when Leslie came to visit him Jim just HAD to tel her to just move on & that was a BIG MISTAKE of him to say cause what he should've said was "Don't worry about me Lee I will get out of here somehow, I love you." If he had said that they probably would still be together right now & she would've never have gotten with Falcone's son Mario in the FIRST PLACE!

No, she isn't.
Her full name is Dr. Leslie Tompkins and is a forensic scientist of the GCPD.
She appears in the comics too, but not as a loveinterest of James.

Hmm... I'm still new to this whole "superhero fandom" thing. From where the nerd community is now, you need to know at least the names of 50 heroes and villains to even follow along with baseline knowledge. Batman is my preferred universe of choice, but I am still VERY novitiate when it comes to the twists and turns of the mythos, especially concerning side characters like James Gordon.

Batman is my favorite comic book universe too and the only series of wich i own some comics.
I also like the Avengers a lot (and some other heros), but i just watch the movies.

Me too. I don't like action movies for the most part; they don't engage me with deep story, slow and harsh character development, or metaphysical action. The only Marvel movie I have really liked, since Avengers, was this year's Dr. Strange.
