You did this in MS Paint? I am amazed to see such beauty wrought from that clunky programme. You definitely captured the quiet of the snow, and the spirituality between the boy and the patronus. Wonderful!

Thanks! Yep, aside from a few sketches, all my stuff is MS Paint.

Man,...I still come back to this one, now and then. One of the finest examples of how a practiced hand and and an adroitly controlled palette can bring out the best in Paint. Bravo!

I showed this to my mom because I'm still in awe of it, and I asked her "How do you think this was made?"
"Someone drew it with pencil?"
"They made it in MS paint."
Complete silence, and then "Woooow."
I have one question for you:
Are you a wizard?

This is simply beautiful!~ I love the blue tones to everything, and how some of the shadows are so soft and look blended. That doe is also gorgeous, and the glow it casts gives such a--surprisingly--warm feel to the picture.
And a question, if it doesn't bother you. I was looking through your works from back in 2009 or so, and I saw some where you used the spray tool. In the description of those, you said that was back when you actually used that tool, and I was wondering why you don't use it anymore. Is there something wrong with it, or something that you don't like? (This is coming from an artist who uses nothing but MS Paint and relies quite heavily on the spray tool.)
Also, any advice would be much appreciated, but I know I'm asking a lot and it's fine if you don't have the time.
Thanks, and your art is amazing!

Thanks for the nice comments!
I don't use the spray can because the one thing I try to avoid in all my stuff is pixilation. Spray can is messy and imprecise. I have used it judiciously in some of my later stuff though; the surface of the road in "My Street" benefited from spray can for example. This isn't to say spray can is bad-- lots of MS Paint artists embrace it and do great stuff with it. I just like trying to push Paint so that people aren't entirely sure it is Paint, and the spray can is always a dead giveaway.

Oh okay, thank you very much. That makes a lot of sense, and I understand now why you wouldn't use it. And you are very welcome, I enjoy your art a lot.
