Description

A hand-drawn-with-colored-pencils (and to an extent-markers) version of this previous deviation I drew, from the same drawing I used to create the digital version. This is my own, drawn-from-memory version of a really bizarre German-language sprite crossover of Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario (not pictured), Dragon Ball Z, and JAMES POND?! Yes, this actually existed from around 2009-2011 on YouTube... I have absolutely no evidence it did whatsoever, unfortunately, and it disappeared from the internet to NEVER be seen again.

Anyways, Sonic, Shadow, and James Pond here are facing off against Broly, the legendary super saiyan, who is in a SSJ4/SSJ5 adjacent-form, and wearing blue pants (that's what his sprite looked like for some reason), and is rapping to "Jump Around" by the House of Pain... yes, really, and he also had Angry German Kid voice clips... yes, really. I swear I'm not making this up.

I actually really thought it was fun when I was younger and watched this around 2009-2010. Probably for the novelty of seeing James Pond (aside from my obsession with Peter-No-Tail/Pelle Svanslos, one of the obscure fandoms I'm a part of, and unlike Pelle/Peter, it's not even a pop culture icon in its own home country of the UK) in a crossover with Sonic. It was in German, so I have no clue what the plot was about, but I do remember earlier episodes of it featuring Emerl from Sonic Battle, and they also fought some clones of Super Buu based on his absorptions... yeah, it was weird. (And clearly inspired by SMBZ).

I personally think this version looks better than the previous digital version I drew. I slightly digitally altered Broly's fur/hair to be more vibrant (the actual colored pencils I used included a light green and neon yellow pencil, and neon colors--marker OR pencil, tend to look a bit washed out when scanned).

DISCLAIMER: I don't own these characters, this just is fanart of Sonic the Hedgehog, James Pond, and Broly from DBZ. (As I stated, I didn't even come up with this specific crossover idea, but of course, I technically can't prove that).
