"JILL" shouted Mikal, as she spotted the missing detective. Jill Benner was bound and gagged in a dingy motel room. her eyes glazed from whatever sedative the Cafazzo goon had drugged her with. Mikal crossed to Jill, checking the young operative for any physical harm beyond the drugging. But Mikal's blood froze as she heard a loud clicking behind her. Someone was pointing a 9mm at her. Slowly Mikal turned.

"Giovanni said you were a sucker; that you'd come running. Ms Benner was merely the bait, Freitag. YOU were the fish and I see you fell for the whole thing."
