Description
In the pilot episode for Wonder Woman, the leggy Amazon uses the Chandeliers in the War Department to land a solid kick on the villainess, Marcia. When she attempts to return the favor, the chandelier pulls free dropping the Nazi spy on her hindquarters. To me, this is the pivot point of that episode, because until then, Marcia was holding her own against a stronger, more powerful Wonder Woman. If Marcia had managed to actually land her kick, she could have pressed her advantage and defeated the woman in the strange costume. Just something to think about from time to time.

Marcia is a sadly forgotten foe. She did very well against an enemy who was much stronger and faster so the idea that she was actually more skilled a fighter isn't really farfetched. It's just that there really is so much Bruce Lee could do to a gorilla by analogy.
This is something very Marcia and not really seen in ABC, Marcia takes to the air in a flying kick (sure it didn't work in the show but it was tried) and maybe something that inspires Diana to do in the CBS years a couple of times.
I really like Diana being just picked up off her feet here by the kick and the realization of what is hitting her in her facial expression. This fight is not going her way and Marcia is more dangerous than she thought. The eyebrows really sell that aspect. great stuff.
A different kind of follow up might be Marcia going for a hard blow to the ears on Wonder Woman when she's picking herself up from this hit. The concussion to the hearing can be very painful when done right and with Diana's super sensitive hearing that pain might be greatly more agonizing.?

Damn chandelier anyways! There was a guy from a town I'm from, waaay back when, who brought a lead crystal chandelier back from Fraaaaance, which was so heavy, he used a 4"X4" X 16' fencepost header to hang it from, which was pre-stressed to have a bow in it. That wow was on the upside, so that when the chandelier was hung on it, it not only flattened out to rest on top of all the ceiling joists it's length could cover, but it still bowed the ceiling by 2"s! So unless the one Marcia's swinging from has been suspended as adequately as that, it is possible to let her down. Dag nabbit!
