Wonder Woman finds herself pinned down and chloroformed by a pair of unidentified attackers. We can guess how they lured her into a trap, kidnapping Steve Trevor and leaving a clue for Wonder Woman to find. Then she walks into a darkened room and sees Steve tied to a chair at the end of the hallway. He's blindfolded and can't see her, so Wonder Woman moves to untie him and ask who's behind this. Suddenly she's grabbed from behind, one attacker holding her arms while the other placing a chloroform soaked cloth over her nose and mouth. Her eyes go wide and soon everything goes black.

One thing that I find interesting is the appearance of some Gray Hairs on Wonder Woman. Does this signal that this time is different from previous perils? Sort of like the picture of Dorian Gray. Additionally from this angle it appears her power belt is gone. Has this along with a beating finally taken down our favorite Amazon?
What adds to this is that we do not know who has caused this disaster. Was it two seeming nothings like Oswald taking down Kennedy? Your closely cropped vision of this scene adds to the mystery. She is on a Granite Floor but where? What is that cabinent behind them and what is behind that yellow door.
Masterful job of showing Wonder Woman in what could be a transitional point in her crime fighting career.

Second villain: "Your plan worked, Boss! We've captured Wonder Woman!" First villain: "Of coarse my plan worked! Wonder Woman's magic belt is the source of her Amazon strength; without it, she's just a normal Woman! Now take her into the other room and tie her up so that she cannot escape!" Second villain: "Don't worry, Boss! When I finish tieing her up, she's not going anywhere!"
