Jamie Fraser from Outlander, a novel by Diana Gabaldon.I usually picture Jamie with Claire, of course, but I also see him in rugged places with a horse.
BTW - Model Gabriel Aubry is my inspiration for Jamie's likeness - with a few tweaks. He fits the description in the books as close as anyone I've seen yet...

Congratulations on this fabulous rendition. I never imagined Jamie as a red-haired Gabriel Aubry but now I see your drawing I think it's perfect. In my own manuscript I used him as my image for my blond-haired hero.

I actually discovered Gabriel Aubry by Googling "Jamie Fraser." Apparently there are many fans who saw the resemblance. I started doing images of Outlander because there weren't enough results with the search to satisfy...

Actually, I did one of Claire from Dragonfly in Amber. I used Keri Russell for her, mainly because of the "fine features" and the unruly curls. But as I did with Jamie, I tweaked the likenesses... With himself, the eyes are more slanted and blue, the mouth is a little wider. With Claire the eyes are now amber, the nose is wider, the mouth is fuller.

Funny you should mention "The Exile" as I just finished reading it for like the 5th time! I like it, in that I'm kind of starved for Outlander images. And the story was good.
But I was frustrated with the inconsistency of the artwork. In the author's notes DG makes a big deal out of getting Jamie and Claire "right," and they look like that for the first few pages... and then the images deteriorate. Now, I own several graphic novels and have noticed that small panels can't have much detail. But, the trouble with the art in the Exile goes beyond that. It's inconsistent, and I didn't care for the bulbuls nose, and tiny mouth that Jamie takes on, when he's suppose to have a "long straight nose and wide mouth."
