depends on the mesh, and stuff but usually around 50 U$ this one i didn't rig the client wanted to do that themselves so that saved them a few coins. i also made a substance painter file so they could change the colors and stuff, because its not a good mod with out options

oh heck, I've only got fifty but no rigging experience, so how much would it cost to have a rigged, more dolphinish mertail with a butt?Β

i swear i responded to this yesterday... 50-60 U$ is the cost with rigging, i also need to know the game to rig for and i have to find rigging tools for said game, i might need the game as well to test but that's not always needed. my client is a return customer and did the rigging themselves so i just charged 40 U$

ok well i own that already. dosnt half the world? the rigging tool is probably easy to find, and there might be a mermaid mod already so animations probably wont be a problem. i can do animations but ya that dumps extra cost and since its not my forte it would pump up the work time a lot. if you can find a set of animations that work for you then its totally doable no issue.

shit amigo, I wish you were working on that mermaid mod before it fell to shit

but there were some animations from oldrim, a swimming animation that needed some work hereΒ www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/…

and there was a land combat animation system for merfolk, but from what I heard, basic crawling was done, released and the animator's computer crapped out

but yeah, where does one guy to even start animating stuff for skyrim? because from what I've heard, putting in any custom mesh/animations is pretty difficultΒ  :U

well an avatar is 4 parts, 1-3d mesh, 2-2d texture, 3-animation, 4-scripting.
i can do the mesh and texture well enough, the animation depends on the game and the scripting pulls it all together. animation is easy but making it look good is not, the best bet would be to do a mermaid morphs into humans on land and stuff, sadly i don't know skyrim programing as iv never tried it before, but ya its possible. from what i see the animations are prety nice but ya thers no way you can do combat with out the anims. i can make the mesh and textures easy enough its the animations that are missing. you would need to find some one to combine it all.
