I've wanted to draw a Fireman Sam Christmas themed picture since October. I just decided to hold off until now and my creativity came back. I originally wanted the picture to be full of all the characters with Norman getting a lump of coal as a present but my laziness got the better of me so I just decided to draw Fireman Sam handing James a toy model of Jupiter and Sarah looking on happily and Norman throwing a snowball in the back ground...naughty naughty Norman.I found Snow Business on Youtube and I had been looking for it for months. Jivio led me to it. It tugs at your heart string towards the end with Bella crying looking at the tree and Sam looking out the window wondering If Santa's coming for him or is he too old for him. The music is certainly a tear jerker. This may be the last thing I draw this year but I want you all to know that I wish you all a happy Christmas and a great New Year. As the old saying goes Good Rails and Dry Running.

I don't always get the chance to rave about this show so here goes; The Fireman Sam Christmas episode is one of the best children's Christmas specials ever made.
I mean, most of it is typical kids' stuff, but the Lighting Up the Christmas Tree scene onwards is truly something magical. It shows a side that is rarely if ever shown in Christmas specials, let alone kids' shows; the adult's perspective. With Bella bursting into tears at the sight of the tree to that famous ending where Sam reflects on his age, alongside that gorgeous score (was it ever released? You mentioned Jivio, whose Christmas videos I've seen had the score, hence how I've remembered this show again, but I've never found it anywhere else), never fails to tear me up. As a kid, I just thought it was beautiful, but as an adult it's infinitely more poignant, because I can understand why Bella cried and why Sam is staring out the window talking about how old he is.
Again, very cute pic! I think I ought to do my own come Christmas!

You just summed up exactly why I loved the special so much. The heart and emotion of the end just grabbed me and tugged at my heart strings so much. I'm thinking of doing a redo of this sometime in future myself.
