Description Commission completed January 2014. Mechanical pencils 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm HB and 2B. Lots of cotton wool, tortillions and several rubbers. Was drawn on A3 heavy-weight cartridge paper, with the finished drawing measuring 15"x11" for an internal mount (20"x16" frame). 16 hours over the course of a week.

They are fantastic to draw, nice wavey hair and they usually have their tongue hanging out (I love to draw all the little details!)

Its a new style Ive tried for the white hair. Pretty much all of it is actually shades of grey, very little white!

Cotton wool for block shading and to keep an even coverage of smudging, the tortillions to finer smudging, and the rubber for hairs. I also use an electric rubber, which is very hand for nose detail in particular.
