Remember this fellow? Well, chance saw to it that I drew my boyfriend's mother again for their annual Secret Santa. I figured I'd use the opportunity to draw a companion piece for Mickey
.This is their other cat, a rather small girl called Mousey. She is absolutely adorable and quite playful, so I wanted the portrait to echo that. It was quite a lot of fun actually, and because of the subject matter I can definitely see some improvement compared to the other piece!

Perhaps I will some time :>. It's really just rough blocking in, creating a transition and then drawing hairs onto the transition area. It's a bit hard to explain with words, but I'll be sure to demonstrate it some time ^^.

The realism on this is amazing! Also, I just have to take a moment to say that those markings are accurate because that cat looks like she's wearing an armadillo shell and that is adorable.
