Is this technically furry art? I classify this as "fantasy" art, which I love. But to you furries out there does this tickle your fancy? Or is furry art more cartoony by its very nature.

It is furry art - for a furry convention, made by a furry. Furry art is not really any particular style so much as it is about the subject matter.
That doesn't mean it can't also be fantasy

Yes I did click the link, and it is for buying the print - As the artist intended. Yes there's a download button on DA, this would make a rather nice pc wallpaper don't you think? that button is perfect for this usage.Β
If an artist puts a piece up, with clear links on where to buy it and you circumvent that by suggestion of downloading, printing and not paying - That is not very nice now is it.

i think this is a large misunderstanding between both sides. i mean he is somewhat right that someone could do that. it would be lower quality most likely but yeah. i dont think he meant that he was going to do that or meant any harm towards the artist. he was just pointing that out. i do see why this might anger someone though. but i believe this is coming from naivety not malicious intent.

mmhmm that's what an "Art print" generally is, this way the art is printed in high quality and the artist gets a share of the fee - instead of no fee when people download and print it themselves.
