Description I think Oliver & Company is one of Disney's most underrated animated movies and one of those reasons is because of its villain, Bill Sykes. For me, Sykes is an underrated villain. He's a vicious loan-shark who steals from others to benefit himself and his company, raised two Rottweilers to become vicious attack dogs, has a intimidating, thrilling performance by Robert Loggia, is very charismatic and manipulative and has an awesome and gruesome death scene. However, most Disney fans find him to be a one-note, forgettable, dull-as-dishwater villain. I can understand those fans however, as Sykes is not as hammy, hilarious, or unique compared to those other Disney villains. Which is why, I believe Sykes should've been written like Professor Ratigan from Disney's previous animated feature, The Great Mouse Detective. Ratigan is funny and sassy, playing the great villain while being the great villain, has a great villain song (2, in fact) and has a hammy personality. If Sykes was written more like Ratigan, he'd probably be more memorable to other Disney fans.

Oliver & Company and The Great Mouse Detective are owned by Disney
