hi, I did eventually sell the 2nd version ([link] on ebay for about what the parts cost. I still have this version but it looks like we're on opposite sides of the Atlantic so given the cost of postage it might be cheaper to comission someone locally.

made, mostly out of an old light gun from a car boot sale

a can, brass cog, coathanger, hula hoop (cut into sections to make the bullets), clear plastic tube, the cap from a laser pointer, part of a ps2 port (the gold cable), the cylinder from some type of label dispenser (gold part on the front), a springloaded silver... thing that might have been part of a clock (silver button on the damage amplifier), an LED, battery pack, toggle switch, wires, hotglue, superglue, mouldable epoxy putty, and spraypaint.

It was a red plastic light gun, from a playstation I think. I got it from a car boot sale. I've found some revolvers at pound shops but they're a bit smaller so would need a very small size can.

awesome work man. the only detectable flaw is the bullets you have in the can look a bit too big for the revolvers cylinder. but that might be a matter of perspective.

You may ask, but I'm not sure if I can answer. I was working on it a bit at a time while doing a few other projects, and didn't really keep track of when I did what.

it started off as a light gun from a games console, I cut a tin can to the right shape and stuck it on with some epoxy putty and glue, spray painted the whole thing silver, and from there it was a case of finding things that looked like the missing parts. I'm planning on doing another when I get enough time so I'll probably do a howto video or write up on it.
