This is B. I'm thinking of writing a short story about her.She's just got herself into rather big trouble.
B was a 23 year old surface born female. She had a privileged but lonely life as the only child of two career officers in Government service. Her father, never about, was a senior officer in the Aerospace Service, the military arm of the State of New Utopia. Her mother was a civil servant in one of the vast Ministry buildings in Utopia, the capital city. Mother was married to her job, so little B had been reared by a series of uninterested Government nannies then finally sent to board at a cold and unforgiving service school. Neither gave her much love and when B was 18 she was pretty empty inside. So she’d kept her head down and landed a job in one of the many Government departments, dealing with procurements for the Aerospace Service. It was here she was contacted by the Underground…….
