Description I haven't done nearly enough drawings of Rob, I've been contemplating his place in the story and I think I'd like him to be a more major player. I've gone over his personality before, he's sort of the fairweather friend of Toby, Mike, and Gabe, and acts as a bad influence and honestly has more in common with the greasers he hates. He's short-tempered, aggressive, likes to pick fights, and enjoys playing dirty. He's not above cheating and breaking rules, which is the main point of contention between him and Toby, the two of which used to be much closer. This is mostly due to his upbringing and home life:
"Rob lives in one of the oldest neighborhoods in town in a small house. His father is a salesman, and is away from home weeks at a time. This has been the case since Rob was young, and has negatively impacted his development during his youth. His mother is an alcoholic, and unreliable to do things such as shopping or cleaning. It is bad enough to where, as a young kid, Rob had to walk across town to get to school because his mother was usually passed out or hungover in the mornings and unable to drive him. He has always had to fend for himself, and still does, a fact which leads to a lot of his aggression."
His main purpose in the narrative is to illustrate that there are jocks who can be just as bad as greasers, mirroring characters like Roger, who represent greasers that aren't as down with violence and revenge as the others are.
