Description From the graphic novel JOKER by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo.

Harley Quinn cowl design(incomplete); black/red/white vinyl lether stretch.

This is not quite finished, for some reason I can never disapline myself enough to finish the bell collar and add the zipper to complete the quinn-cowl. The material sold out before I had a chance to buy enough to make the whole costume. This stuff's expensive.

NICE.

Seriously. Seriously. Wicked.

I had doubts about whether that could be done, with the integral mask. Now I have to try it.

Where there is a will there is a way, so triumph of the will should by thy success.

The bells are christmas decortaions with string still attached and sewn over, the cowl is a template of a hoodit jacket if that helps.

try putting baby powder on the vinyl. it'll slide right through the machine and you just dust it off when your done. makes things a lot easier. ^_^

Effin' rad, man. I love it! I wsn't extremely fond of the comic itself, but the outfits she wore were pretty snazzy.

Love it! Hopefully you'll get to buy more of that fabric to finish the suit!!

Joker's a pimp! I just found that hillarious.

Thankies, but reservations never want to come T_T. This is more of a side project. Since business picked up a bit I've been filling other orders for costumes people want done.

handstitching...In yr5 I made a Catwoman(Batman Returns-Tim Burton des.) costume ALL BY HANDSTITCH. I've had an evasiveness to manual needle-and-thread work ever since then.

THAT's the main reason why I don't wanna work on the bell-collar, I can't use a sewing machine or I'll wreck the fabric.
The last resort is too traumatising.

oh, yikes, yeah you wouldn't want to ruin it. but so far you did a good job on the cowl. i want to try making one too but using a different kind of fabric, perhaps there's one that's easier to sew but looks good at the same time and doesn't get worn out too soon.

What kind were you thinking? Like shiney, bland, velvet effect, stretch? Don't use feax-leather though, very hot and terrible for shape-fitting cosutumes. Trust me, I've tried. Makes a good jacket/coat though, not much else. Unless you can get a very soft real leather, but that's WAY too expensive..and hot. Make you feel sorry for Batman, almost.

Wow - that looks awesome . I heard vinyl's a bitch to sew through - I have no experience myself however. Where do you buy your material out of interest?

Spotlight, and yeah, vinyl is a bitch to MACHINEsew. Handstiching is simple enough. But I have a never-ever-want-to-experiance-again handstiching trauma...long painful story.
