the real difficulty was making sure the window light was still showing because I didn't want it black.

one strobe on a soft box aimed at the model, and another strobe aimed at the back of the room/ceiling to fill the light in the room, about a 2 stop difference between the two lights.

nice, it seems like a pretty remote location. how did you power your strobes? did you have a portable power source?

yep, battery pack, life saver. I also could have used my car battery and ran about 300ft of cable I suppose.

where'd you buy it? i've seen a lot of do-it-yourself made battery packs on dpreview.com that people have stuck in backpacks to carry around. i don't think i know enough about electronics to pull that off though. and how long will your strobes usually last with your battery?
