I tried to do something different by using a traditional sketch and digitally paint over it, actually works pretty fine in my opinion, ha

Well, it looks neat and it IS different.
I'm not sure I understand it. Β Her tail is poking out of that thing in the background. Β Is that something she's wearing?

It is something like a Tail armor, i've never drawn any armor before, but i learned that it has to connect somehow with the body x)

Actually this is the first time I've seen tail armor, the tail is usually left unarmored in other artworks for identification of the character.

Ah. I see.
I think it looks so odd because there is nothing attaching it to her. It looks like it is simply floating behind her rump and not attached to anything (like a croupiere).
That said, I really like your traditional sketch + digital colouring technique/
