I like the realistic appearance of this design. It looks light weight, functional, and has axial symmetry, just like a real spacecraft. Is the large shield at the front for re-entry or for debris?

It's for particles and debris at high velocities. I was thinking of an umbrella or mushroom shape to be more realistic with water stored in it for reaction mass but ultimately I decided to make it look like a hammer so you get a sense of military threat.
