Oh trust me, the cold war did end 20 years ago. I no longer have to worry about secret police following me and my family around, having the phone tapped, hiding banned books, music or even having to burn sensitive documents at three in the morning because the army is raiding your neighbourhood looking for communists, socialist or anyone else who belongs to "extremist groups". All brought to you by uncle Sam and his dirty little war against communism in Latin America.
I tell you why I chose to do that Image. That was the image of the "evil Russian" so common in propaganda heavy movies. I was always cynical about it. For one, when those movies showed how bad the Russians where, they were actually a lot better than what uncle Sam had thrown down our way. So I liked the idea of that imagery which was so common in propaganda to be used in a playful manner which completely dismissed the connotations which it originally implied.
