Description The Scavvers lead a nomadic existence, travelling across the territories of the former USA in their distinctive junk wagons. These vehicles, often a mishmash of salvaged parts and repurposed technology, serve as their mobile workshops, homes and trading posts. They are constantly on the move, seeking out new salvage opportunities and gathering in temporary settlements known as "Scrap Havens," where they exchange goods, share stories and help each other with repairs.

They roam the wastelands, scouring the remnants of cities, military bases and industrial sites for discarded machinery, parts and equipment. Pieces of leftover Kaelari technology are especially prized and increasingly rare. As they traverse different territories, the Scavvers engage in trade and barter with the settlements they encounter along the way. Their itinerant lifestyle allows them to travel vast distances and establish connections between disparate communities, becoming a vital component of the post-Cataclysm trade network.

Scavvers pride themselves on their self-sufficiency and adaptability. They excel at repairing and repurposing technology, making them resourceful problem-solvers in the face of scarcity. Their junk wagons serve as self-contained ecosystems, with systems for water filtration, food cultivation and power generation. Each Scavver's junk wagon is also a mobile workshop, equipped with an array of tools, machinery and salvaged components. These rolling workshops are a hub of activity, with Scavvers constantly tinkering, repairing and inventing new contraptions.

They are welcomed in most territories, especially those with scattered, far-flung settlements like the Great Plains Federation and the Free Territories. One notable exception is the Iron Union. With its strict control over resources and centralized authority, it views the Scavvers as a disruptive and uncontrollable force. The Union's militaristic regime sees their nomadic lifestyle and independent nature as a threat to their tightly regulated society, and their propaganda machine demonizes them as lawless scavengers, preying on the remnants of a once-great nation.
