The Scourge are godlike entities of unknown origin, computational substrates embodied in ships of baroque design and truly terrifying proportions. A typical Scourge vessel is somewhere between 3 to 4 kilometres long and 1.5 to 2 kilometres high. They have spread across the multiverse like a plague, using quantum tunnelling technology to travel from one reality to another, bringing ruin wherever they go. These entities possess a highly-developed aesthetic sense and can't tolerate any imperfections in the cosmos.

When they arrive in a universe, they attempt to remodel it according to their concept of beauty, harmony and order. Unfortunately for the inhabitants of the universe, this involves erasing whole civilizations and dismantling entire solar systems that don't fit into their scheme of perfection.

They have been responsible for the destruction of many great civilisations, like the Psilobites of Reality AR-953405911, the Mechanipedes of Reality IU-036641779 and the Axiomatons of Reality HU-553112013. The Scourge think nothing of committing genocide to reshape a world to suit their aesthetic preferences. They are believed to have caused the deaths of centillions of sentient beings.
