Description A work in progress of the Toxic Avenger. This is based more on the Toxic Crusaders toy range than the movies. Those action figures were ace!

Got an idea of what I'm gonna do with it. We'll see...

Yeah, but it's all about priorities and worth. My priorities lie elsewhere at the moment. Movies, quality time with my missus, good eating and Lego, mainly, ha ha.

Slight change of topic... in your convo with Liam (above) you mention "wasp's knockers." Now that's an awesome concept screaming to be illustrated (alongside said bee's knees). I might wanna do that, come January, if you don't mind? (giving you credit for the original idea ofc^^)

CarlPearce In reply to REK-drawings [2009-11-23 23:20:31 +0000 UTC]

It's not really a concept. Just a saying and a twisted variation on the theme. Knock yourself out, bud.

But not literally. That could fuckin' hurt. And leave a lump. Or a bruise.

REK-drawings In reply to CarlPearce [2009-11-23 23:30:03 +0000 UTC]

Aye, I know. Did it once as a child, ran around some streetcorner, and bumped right into a postbox with my head (we had those postboxes attached to the sides of buildings at exactly the height of a six-year-old's forehead)

That knocked me out and it did all of the above (hurt + lump + bruise)

CarlPearce In reply to REK-drawings [2009-11-24 09:21:27 +0000 UTC]

Shit. I've clonked my heed so many times I can't remember. Literally. The last time was about ten years ago. It was either when I fell outta the 50 ft high tree or when I fell off the old railway bridge.

Oh, to be 18 again...

REK-drawings In reply to CarlPearce [2009-11-24 21:34:39 +0000 UTC]

Ouch

Never managed to fall out of a tree (not for lack of trying), must have been extraordinarily lucky. Hmm... falling off a railway bridge.. that sounds kind of awesome, at least in hindsight

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CarlPearce In reply to REK-drawings [2009-11-24 21:39:58 +0000 UTC]

The railway was no longer there, but a nice pile of tree roots and bricks were. Ouch.

And as for the tree, my mate Carlos and I were pretty much doing a trapeze in the higher branches, swinging from each other's hands to the next branch etc and we both fell. The branches and the floor broke our fall.

REK-drawings In reply to CarlPearce [2009-11-25 22:15:09 +0000 UTC]

Hmmmm... "...my mate Carlos and I..."

Now this is interesting. I've seen you sign your journals as Carlos (as well as Carl). Sooo... This could obviously mean all kinds of things. Maybe you really happened to have a mate called Carlos. Or you could have a problem with a split personality (maybe even triple-split, who the hell is Jim Oakley )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CarlPearce In reply to REK-drawings [2009-11-26 00:06:31 +0000 UTC]

This is easy.

Once upon a time in a small Welsh village there lived three young boys. The locals called them the three amigos because they went everywhere together and always got into trouble together. Their names were Craig Hughes, Carl Holt and Carl Pearce.

Three little C's went walking one day, got into trouble and ran away...

Jim Oakley was my business partner. Few years ago he went missing in Australia in an apparent surfing accident. All we found was a smashed board, a half drunk bottle of rum and a Polaroid of his cock with "fuck you bitch!" written across it.

REK-drawings In reply to CarlPearce [2009-11-26 00:36:56 +0000 UTC]

He actually had writing on his cock?

You either lead a very exciting life or have a very active imagination (or both^^)

Oh, and how was the trip to Thailand? Seems you had some fun [link]

CarlPearce In reply to REK-drawings [2009-11-26 01:13:05 +0000 UTC]

Thats not ME! That some fucking impostor! Damn his eyes. I'll have him for that!

Jimbo didn't have writing on his cock. He wrote on the photo. He pissed off in the van one night and we found a pile of his shiz on a beach towel up at Noosa Beach.

I misunderstood that on purpose

Still leaves the question why you use his name... and even added the number of the beast on the end (seems jimoakley [link] is not taken^^).

Btw, you ignore my inquisitive arse if you wish.

CarlPearce In reply to REK-drawings [2009-11-26 10:12:36 +0000 UTC]

Ha ha ha.

In reality Jim Oakley is a pseudonym I use for my writing. I don't do that any more so I though it would be funny to tell people that he is dead. Ha ha.

It all came about from two nicknames that I picked up over the years, made it my email address and it's stuck ever since.

Take a gander... You started this thread >>> [link]

REK-drawings In reply to CarlPearce [2009-11-27 00:00:26 +0000 UTC]

Hah! Awesome story, fun to read (as was the story of the vanished business partner^^)

And your convo with Liam reminded me that I need to get Life on Mars on DVD since I've only watched it in the German dubbed version yet. And I feel the need to hear the "real" Gene Hunt (though the dubbing wasn't bad, as dubbings go)

Oh, and the 666? That was just a random number Hotmail spat at me and made me chortle... Ok, that actually makes sense... hotmail = microsoft = eternal evil. (On the other hand, it's funny that a big American company would throw about 666, even randomly... remember the Proctor&Gamble logo controversy from the 80s?)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CarlPearce In reply to REK-drawings [2009-11-27 01:41:13 +0000 UTC]

I think it may have been something like 668 and I swapped the 8. Today I would've gone for 888. Lucky.

You cannot beat the original Gene Hunt. Nobody, and I mean nobody, talks like the one true Gene Genie.

Way to set the bar high. Don't know when I will get round to mine but I shall have to pull out all the stops if I wanna equal this.

Good work sah!

Is that a Pizza Shield? I can't remember much about these characters, wasn't there something freaky going on between him and his mop?

I'm nowhere near finished on this though yet. you have plenty of time and I'm currently as busy as a mother-luver.

I've been watching the movies lately. Have you ever seen them? They are completely shit! So shit that they are brilliant. I love them.
