Description Better views of my costume for Conquest of Mythodea 2012 event, [link]

I belong to a group of travelling encyclopaedists and map-makers named Cognito, and I'm the one carrying the encyclopaedia on my back all long the game.

Most of the costume is hand made : hat, glasses, backpack, armour, pants, books...

Weapons are not made by me.

Love the somewhat "early" steampunk look.

Thanks !

I used this character in a medieval-fantasy LARP, but I wanted a steampunk "feel", so I came up with that.

Your costume was great, but your face and body build are made for northern-medieval armors, like the one you did the tutorial for.
All those were great, I have to do something like this one day.

Keep on the good work.

I sure have a bit of pain to adapt to non-Viking costumes !

Thanks again for your kind words !

A very funky getup indeed, my congratulations sir
Are you lot re-enactors by any chance? I only ask because Kelmarsh was mentioned as a possible steampunk venue...

Well, since you asked: I would definitely try to enhance the look by adding some (more) things to your lower arms. Like gloves, bracers, rings or something. Right now, those look a bit unformed.
Also , some asymmetric leather applications on the legs would do great. Try something like knee pads/armour.
Just some suggestions.
Other than that: Very nice costume. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for your comment !

Yes, I planed to make kind of a big glove/bracer on my left hand, with steampunk trinkets and all, but never found the time before Mythodea (I always work on all the costumes for the other persons of the group)

As for the legs, I admit I kept it simple in order to be able to walk around all the day long for 5 days... I should find something that allows me to move freely...
