clever idea for the photoshoot. I'm guessing the idea was to mix the macabre with modern concepts of beauty. while I think this was incredibly well executed, from the makeup to the angles to the flowers in her hair [that was a very nice touch btw] the idea kinda hits kinda weakly. I think the makeup on her face, is too jarring. Had you let her naturally beauty show through with maybe just a paleness, i think it would've been far more emphatic. just a thought...

Fantastic work as usual from you!

Thanks, I know this has been done to death (haha), but I still wanted to do it nonetheless. And we wanted to cover her completely in white, she was to be a mask. Do you know about the mexican day of the dead? That is what this shoot was about

ah ok, I was unsure as to the subject material. I just assumed that since you have her with kind of a extravagant hairstyle, but with the garish makeup this was some kind of comment on death/beauty, or just something involving those two elements.

And that, in essence, is what it is about. The beauty in death.

To me she is absolutely beautiful! I suppose it's all in the eye of the beholder.

so true. i think the makeup really removes what beauty she'd have. but then again I'm more aesthetics oriented...
