AND I LOVE HOW HARDCORE HE GETS LATER IN THE GAME
Just a little sketche of Amon, trying to figure out how to draw his hair. I repeat it´s just a sketch and I´ve actually drawn it directly with a black and blue ballpoint pen... then used yellow and brown pencils. So yeah, it looks very rough, it´s preliminary work for another bigger illustration ^^ Plus as I said, I don´t have much time to draw lately, so I am doing little stuff like this in my breaks XD
So I was drawing Ash,... but ended being Amon X_D Well, ok, while I was drawing Ash I was thinking about how would Amon´s hair look when he isn´t wearing he´s goggles... so I started to sketch and yeah, I added color in the end. I added the scar he has in his final Sniper and Sky Lord forms, for some reason.
THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN 13 YEARS THAT I´VE MANAGED TO DRAW FOR HIM A HAIRSTYLE THAT HALF-SATISFIES ME. WOW. IT WAS ABOUT TIME.

ha ha, he´s been one of my favourite characters for more than 10 years XD so I tried to make him cute (well he IS cute XD) even if it´s only a sketch! I am glad that you like him >w<

Amon has always been a favourite of mine. I guess being one of the younger, less prominent characters at the time, he was more identifiable. And, of course, he looks stylish as either a Hawknight (with those crazy-ass googles) or as a Bowman (with the headband and eyepiece).
As for this picture - well done! You've certainly captured that youthful, unassuming quality of his. I'd say the mouth needs a little more detail, and I think Amon's hair is a couple shades darker. But all in all, good job! I look forward to seeing more VH fanart from you!

It´s true, so far most people who started playing videogames are still young and in our teen days is just normal we would identificate with young characters (that´s pretty much the reason why most shōnen and in general other genres have such young main characters, they won´t be popular otherwise xD)
Also, young characters are usually "prettier" and somehow more badass -fighting style and clothes- than most "oldies" for obvious reasons...
When I first played VH I was a 13 or 14 years old teen girl, if not younger... and Amon became my instant favourite the very moment he joined my party, even if I really liked the girls and Diego. It was just normal: Amon is such a bishōnen compared to Clint and especially Grog (XD), much younger than most of the others, a pretty cool archer and hawknight, he makes really cute and hilarious comments and his relationship with Sara is just d´aaaawwwwwww XDDD and I love how clever he is, his shy personality and the way it evolves. Also, unfortunate modest and cute boys like Amon are perfect "fangirl material"... a girl can´t possibly not feel bad about his past and the massacres and his time in prison etc. Girls will be all like "omg poor puppy must pet him" XD ALSO, the fact that he ISN´T a fucking EMO helps a lot: he may be pessimistic but he remains jovial and welcoming. And I actually think he isn´t pessimistic because of his personal dramas, he seems to be pessimistic because he is too clever and logical so he can anticipate all kind of problems XD It´s a good think that he has Sara around (at least most of the time XD I wonder how Amon felt when Sara disappeared for 3 years, and how both felt when they got reunited after freeing Amon and the others. I´ll never forgive Konami for not telling us more about everyone´s feelings in such crucial moments of the story, dammit ;A; I was really mad that it was just "OH HEY ASH" "OH HEY CLINT" like nothing happened in 3 fucking years X_D and they kinda did the same with other really emotive and sad moments. Damm XD)
I could be talking about Amon all night long XD so I´ll stop now XD I must add that after I grew up a bit I was able to appreciate the real beauty of other "not-so-pretty" characters. Actually, now Diego is pretty much my favourite FOR OBVIOUS REASONS XD. But I just love everyone, really, especially the people in Ash´s party (I guess it´s because they are the people you are controlling and we know more about them than about the others). I learnt to appreciate how fucking honorable and cool Doland really is, and in real life I have great respect for people like him; Zohar, well, I don´t need to explain why he is epic; GROG IS AWESOME, I want him to be my party matey XD he is so pirate-ish and wild!; oldman Huxely is adorable in his own way, he is all grumpy but he just want the youngsters not to get hurt XD

Too Asian for me also I wasn't fond of this little twirly thing. I always thought his Hawk Knight Weapon was just a rod he sharpened and wrapped which was pretty cool.

Yeah, sometimes I prefer their preview versions (like Kira, my fav is her archer form XD) but oh well XDDD
I guess they wanted Amon to be a little asian looking, just like Diego is kinda latin and such?
